Adventure Introduction:

Stype nodded slowly and handed me an envelope. Old half-elf was visibly

disgusted by it and never bothered to hide it. As soon as I received it, I was

aware of the “problem”. It was heavily scented, ornate with battle scenes from

the Drought War and asymmetrically shaped. It was an invitation.

I broke the seal and another few thousand layers of flowery scent reeked

from inside of it. Some peacock must’ve sent it and I wondered exactly why I,

tired and ill-mannered wizard, received it. Grizkh screamed and fled from the

tavern, but you cannot blame nature based half-orc barbarian for that, can you?

Letter was addressed to me, indeed. I was invited to bring a “plus one” to

Count Louis’ widely famous yearly “Zone of Truth Party”. Young, spoiled Count

Louis Lione inherited cliffside manor, also known as Pendant Estate and

continued the tradition of his grandfather. My old friend Thrax was his court

wizard, grandmaster potion maker, unprecedented by his famous “Memory Wipe.”

State secrets, weak spell, expensive wine and legendary potion. What could

go wrong? I burned the letter with my thumb and Grizkh reappeared.

“Is it safe, Aaron?”

I watched ash debris fly around me, as the aggressive scent was dying.

“It is. Pack your stuff. And wash yourself. We leave at once.”
