The awakening of Gaia wrought chaotic change. The fall of many established systems of government meant the ebbing away of militaristic pursuits. By 2063 The wars of idealism which had plagued humanity since the dawning of the 21st Century drew to an end, and nations were forced to introspect on what a secure future looked like. The quest for dominant ideals through religious and political means were forced to be re-evaluated by a Global population who were now accustomed to the Magical, and supernatural.
New Mesopotamia was the vision of Magus Alizeh Thomas. As the descendant of the controversial founder of the New Mesopotamian movement, Magus Pazuzi, Alizeh knew all too well the pitfalls of extreme thought and action. The time seemed right to her for a haven to be established in the spiritual home of her followers. When the New Mesopotamians arrived at the village of Gulzaar in the former Republic of Iraq, they brought prosperity, philosophy and protection from the many outlying raiders seeking to exploit the peaceful villagers. Working in tandem with the people of her new-found domain, Magus Alizeh was following in the footsteps of her ancestor. She only hoped her New Mesopotamia would not succumb to the darkness which engulfed the founding of their movement.
