Five Levels down into the dungeon lies the fore=st Wyllowwood, under the bright sunlight…although all is not as it seems.==2E.
Here= we are, mapping a dungeon, creating=20=forests. =C2=A0This release was initially meant to include map C with the t=ower, but I just got back from my trip midweek and had a few things to atte=nd to before I could dive into mapping so I’ve bumped it to release 2 for L=evel 5 – I am running a few days late from my normal releases already. =C2==A0This release has the north end with maps A and B. =C2=A0
Map =Notes. Everything should be by the book – nothing really modified =or changed in this northern section. =C2=A0For the forests/general colour s=cheme I went pretty bright – something about floating down the river into t=he brilliant sunshine and with a full grown, thriving forest along the shor=e seemed like a nice contrast from the previous levels of the undermountain==2E =C2=A0
=The maps include both a Ground leve=l and a Canopy level – note that the walkways exist on the canopy level (at= ~20ft, with tree tops being 30-50ft) so views up there aren’t so =good. =C2=A0The gate/walls in area 4a & 4d also are on the Canopy level=, but you can potentially save yourself the hassle of switching maps and ju=st use the Ground floor map instead (only a slightly different floor patter=n between the two). =C2=A0
Foundry users – o=ne thing to note, especially if running a lower end server – you may want t=o turn off “object walls” on import – I made every tree have walls, so ther=e are a LOT of small walls to calculate line of sight against, which some m=achines may struggle with. =C2=A0
Fi=les. I have included both Background “_BG_” and Transparent “_TP_”= versions of each map; background means it has a flat grey image behind the= dungeon, transparent means there is nothing there. For the Roll20 versions=, this means the background version is a jpg while the transparent version =is a png (jpgs don’t support transparency); Foundry are both dd2vtt files. =IF you want to puzzle piece the sections together like abo=ve (NOT RECOMMENDED), you have the transparent versions available for that.= However, if you set up each map to an individual scene, you could use eith=er, but the _BG_ jpgs will meet the file size limits for Roll20 (TP pngs ma=y not!).
The zip files below have Level 5 Ma=ps A and B, both ground and canopy levels (Lvl 1 and Lvl 2 respectively) as= well as a GM overlay for each map. Roll20Free is a .jpg < 5MB, Roll20Pa=id is a .jpg < 10MB, while Foundry formats are dd2vtt files. Roll20 maps= are at 70 and 140 px per grid cell respectively and the Foundry files are =100px (this also holds true for the transparent images).
