Raven Roost Outlaw Veteran

Bandit groups are often comprised of mercenaries who weren’t paid for their work or former soldiers left out without support once they finished their job. It’s a common pattern, some city state or would-be warlord builds an army, then as soon as they don’t need the army anymore decide to simply abandon their forces without pay or aid. Somehow they always get surprised when these soldiers turn to banditry or sedition, despite just how many times it has happened before.

The Raven Roost bandits are no exception, with many of their members having been soldiers to one faction or another. These soldiers have undergone further training under Raven Roost’s new owners, becoming a deadly veteran force ready to act in the defense of the manor against any invaders. With many of the bandit’s forces being better suited to stealth and ambush, these soldiers usually only accompany them on jobs expected to become more open battles, otherwise remaining behind.

E280A2 The target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or pushed 5 feet away from the veteran. The veteran can move forward into the space the creature occupied.
E280A2 The target must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of the veteran until the end of the veteran’s next turn.
E280A2 The veteran or one willing creature of its choice within 30 feet of the veteran that can see or hear it gains 2d8 temporary hit points. These temporary hit points last for 5 minutes.
The veteran makes two Greatsword attacks.
Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.
