Wood Woad Druid

Wood woads have a tradition of druidry older than many of the humanoid races, though usually much more subdued. Unlike mortals, who experiment and throw themselves deeply into a great many things, wood woads are slow and staunch traditionalists, and their druids usually limit themselves to much smaller magics. Much is simply an enhanced connection with plants, speaking to and directing them with effortless ease. The wood woads of Harken Forest are even more restrictive and bound to tradition than most, similar to the treant population. The only true innovation of magic they’ve developed in many centuries is a spell to transform creatures into plants, mostly useful as a measure of incapacitating enemies for a short time. Creatures fighting alongside Harken wood woad druids are more inclined to have some source of fire on hand, ready to rapidly burn down the target of this spell in a truly horrific manner.

Plant Camouflage. The wood woad has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks it makes in any terrain with ample obscuring plant life.
Regeneration. The wood woad regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn if it is in contact with the ground. If the wood woad takes fire damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of its next turn. The wood woad dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.
Tree Stride. Once on each of its turns, the wood woad can use 10 feet of its movement to step magically into one living tree within 5 feet of it and emerge from a second living tree within 60 feet of it that it can see, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the second tree. Both trees must be Large or bigger.
The wood woad makes two attacks with its Shillelagh, and either uses Polymorph into Plant or casts one of its spells.
Shillelagh Cudgel. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (3d8+5) bludgeoning damage.
Polymorph Into Plant (1/Short Rest). The wood woad targets one creature it can see within 60 feet with this spell. An unwilling target must make a Wisdom saving throw to resist the effect. The spell has no effect on a creature with 0 hit points. This action is treated as a 3rd level spell.
A willing target or a target that fails its save transforms into a Medium plant that isn’t a creature for 1 minute, until the target drops to 0 hit points, or until the wood woad loses concentration. The target’s gear merges into its new form. While a plant, the target is incapacitated and can’t move or speak, it has an AC of 12 (natural armor), it automatically fails Dexterity saving throws, it loses all damage resistances and immunities and instead gains vulnerability to fire. The creature can see and hear as normal, and keeps its current and maximum hit points. While in plant form, it is indistinguishable from a mundane plant.
The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success2E
Spellcasting. The wood woad casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Wisdom as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16):
At will: druidcraft, entangle, purify food and drink, speak with plants
1/day each: cure wounds (as a 3rd level spell, can only target plant creatures), grasping vine
