Another preview for June!

The shield is based off of a best interpretation from a contemporary poem of El Cid titled Carmen Campidoctoris, (loosely translated to “battlefield instructor”, which is where his nickname “Campeador” came from) dated no later than 1083.C2A0

The only color described is golden for the dragon, the red field of the shield in the picture is not documented. I would guess it would have been green though, to match his lance pennant. C2A0
