“Damn Northern dawgs!” Lieutenant Tavarres cursed as he spat on the ground. Bitterly, he looked down on the remnants of his forces. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. After many days of fierce fighting, they had managed to push the Northern forces back. They were then sent ahead to spearhead the drive into Northern territory only to find that the Northern retreat was a ruse. Northern Gears had surrounded his forces, scattering them all over the place. Taking control of what was left of his shattered regiment, Lieutenant Tavarres was able to make a hasty retreat into the Serpentine Range. Unfortunately he was now even farther in enemy territory with no hope of receiving reinforcements.
Suddenly a deep hollow ring echoed across the mountain range. Tavarres’ face turned pale as sweat formed on his brow. Another deep hollow noise rang against the sky. Then another. The Death Knell. His hands shaking, Lieutenant Tavarres barked for reconnaissance forces to be sent out immediately. The last time he heard that noise his men were slaughtered. He wasn’t going to let that happen again. Not ever.
The Operation Sudden Fire tactical campaign pack is a full tactical campaign for use with the Heavy Gear tactical system.
