There are 99rechargeable special abilitiesin this supplement, one for eachKeys from the Golden Vaultcreature that doesn’t already have one. They are appropriate to the creature’s temperament and ecology, and often pair well with one or more of the creature’s other abilities.
Examples of Rechargeable Abilties
Playback Message (Recharge 5–6). As a reaction taken when a situation arises that was predefined by its creator, the observer plays a recorded message that can be heard up to 60 feet away. The creator utters the message when it bestows this property on the observer, and the recording can be no more than 6 seconds long.
Fragment of Krokulmar
Eldritch Knowledge (Recharge 5–6). As an action, the fragment of Krokulmar telepathically unleashes knowledge from the Far Realm, targeting a creature with an Intelligence of 4 or higher within 30 feet.
The target must make a DC 13 Intelligence saving throw. On a success, the target has advantage on the next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw it makes. On a failure, the target is charmed by the fragment and regards the fragment as a trusted ally to be heeded and protected. Although the target isn’t under the fragment’s control, it takes the fragment’s requests or actions in the most favorable way it can. A charmed creature can repeat its saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
