Mealtimes and nutrition are not the main focus of the typical D&D game, but allowing characters to engage in occasional culinary creativity can increase immersion, grant opportunities to roleplay, and even advance the plot. These rules are not intended to serve as a model to track nutrition, but rather as an accessory to roleplaying or combat encounters. Maybe characters are cooking a lavish meal to impress (or poison) a noble, or they grow bored of trail rations and decide to cook up the monsters they just killed. With this Almanac, anything is possible!
